What Is the Focus of this Web Site?

Atrial fibrillation, the most common sustained arrhythmia in the United States, affects up to 3 million Americans. The disorder is more common among the elderly, so the prevalence of this arrhythmia will continue to increase as America’s baby boomers get older. This educational initiative is designed to educate health-system pharmacists about new and emerging options for the management of atrial fibrillation (AF) with the ultimate goal of improving the clinical outcomes of patients with this arrhythmia.

As you explore this site, expect to find

  • High quality continuing pharmacy education (CPE) on AF management that can be adapted to meet the educational needs of pharmacists
  • Opportunities to share questions and report the impact of the educational activities on patient care
  • Access to useful resources on the management of atrial fibrillation
